Overview

Groqüe Koz Kez was founded durring the late 12th century in summer of the year 1097, by Taradog Shrervobon. The establishment of Groqüe Koz Kez was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Taradog Shrervobon electing to pay people to resettle in Groqüe Koz Kez.

Groqüe Koz Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Groqüe Koz Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Groqüe Koz Kez is is constructed arround a series of restrictive gravel mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Groqüe Koz Kez's millitarily questionable fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Groqüe Koz Kez gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable. A second look around Groqüe Koz Kez makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It's as if the town itself is depressed. Smiles are few, cheer is nowhere to be had.
